Viet Nam's economy witnessed a recovery in the first half of this year and expects a brighter outlook in the second half thanks to consistent growth rates in both domestic production and exports.

However, it is necessary for Viet Nam to exercise caution with external risks in the last six months. This was the recommendation stated in regional and global economic update reports by several global financial organizations and institutions.

According to Standard Chartered, Viet Nam is among the countries with the fastest growth rates in 2024, with an increase of over 6%. Meanwhile, the growth rates of global and Asian emerging economies have averaged about 4% and 5%, respectively. The main driver of Viet Nam’s brisk growth is trade and foreign direct investment attraction.
