


Viet Nam is pushing for a considerable expansion of its joint investment fund with Oman, with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposing to scale up the Vietnam-Oman Investment Fund to US$1 billion. At a meeting in Hanoi recently with Deputy President of the Oman Investment Authority and his delegation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that this expansion would better support Viet Nam’s investment and development needs in line with the country’s economic scale and offering suitable interest rates.
In response, Deputy President underlined Oman’s commitment to boosting cooperation with Vietnam, particularly in investment, a highly promising area and a highlight of bilateral relations recently. He announced that the Oman Investment Authority, in collaboration with the State Capital Investment Corporation, has established the Viet Nam New Era Growth Fund with a minimum capital of US$200 million, prioritizing investments in high-potential areas in Viet Nam.
