Vice Premier: China to upgrade 5G+ Industrial Internet, boost new industrialization

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing called for efforts to promote the high-quality development and large-scale application of the 5G-powered industrial internet, or "5G+ Industrial Internet," on Monday, during the opening ceremony of the 2023 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference in Wuhan, central China's Hubei Province.

"We should fully unleash the effect of the '5G+ Industrial Internet' in urban development so as to better support the advancement of new industrialization," said Zhang. Themed "Integration of Data and Reality to Vigorously Promote New Industrialization," the three-day event will run from November 19 to 21 and aims to advance the integration of the digital and real economies and foster innovation in 5G and the industrial internet.

The event gathers various sources, including politics, industry, academia and research, to explore new-generation information technologies, such as 5G and artificial intelligence.
