Vibrant Revelry: Thingyan Atat Day celebrations in Mandalay

On Thingyan Atat Day, various Pandals in Mandalay were crowded with revellers, enjoying the water-throwing festivities and charitable feasts.
Since the morning, Thingyan enthusiasts visited the Mandalay Mayor’s Pandal, where renowned vocalists entertained the crowd with Thingyan songs and dances, accompanied by Yein dance performances from the departments and amateur troupes.
Revellers were also thronged at the pandals along the Mandalay Moat, and near Zay Cho Clock Tower as well as across the wards and townships. Charity feasts were generously served to all comers at the Thingyan Pandals, reflecting the benevolence of the Myanmar people.
