Venezuela's Maduro arrives in Cairo ahead of COP27

President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro arrived on Saturday in Cairo to participate in the COP27 climate change conference.

"The first thing we have to demand is a change in the highly polluting development systems of the north," said Maduro on his arrival during an improvised interview with the Venezuelan state-owned VTV channel.

COP27, to be held in the Egyptian resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, will gather international representatives who aim to agree on new targets for cutting or curbing the growth of emissions that contribute to climate change.
