Venezuela, Colombia defence ministers meet in Caracas

Venezuela's Minister of Defence Vladimir Padrino welcomed his Colombian counterpart Ivan Velasquez for a bilateral meeting and signing agreements.

The South American neighbours re-established diplomatic ties in 2022 after a three-year break. The Colombian Defence Minister said "the two countries are moving forward confidently and firmly in the strengthening of bilateral relations."

According to the Defence Minister of Venezuela, both countries are resuming bilateral relations with a strong nationalist and regionalist spirit.
