Variety Show: Meeting for holding film, music & theatrical concert

The 2nd work coordination meeting for holding film, music and theatrical concert was held at the Information and Public Relations Department in Yangon on Thursday with an attendance of Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said that it needs to arrange the film, music and dramatic concert in accord with the suggestion of the artists. The main purpose of the event is to revitalize the art field that is nearly to collapse.

Today, some artists are having a hard time doing their artistic work due to the threat posed by unscrupulous persons to the people from art field. Among the difficulties, it is necessary to find out ways for artists to resume their works.

By holding such kind of event, it will be able to support their livelihood and artists will be able to resume their art works.The Union Minister added that the Ministry will provide necessary assistance for the successful holding of the concert.

He called for all artists from the film, music and theatrical field to cooperate with the correct mindset for the interest of art field.

Officials from Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, Myanmar Music Association, Myanmar Thabin Artists Association and the senior artists gave suggestions on holding the concert. In response to the reports, the Union Minister gave a concluding remark.
