Variety Concert: Fund raising for rehabilitation works in quake-hit areas

A variety concert for rehabilitation efforts in the areas affected by the powerful earthquake was held in Yangon on Saturday evening.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn enjoyed the concert at the National Theatre. Prior to the program, a video clip on the rescue and relief measures in quake-hit araes was screened, followed by a minute of silence by the attendees in memory of the deceased during the quake.

Artists from Myanmar Motion Picture Association entertained the audience with famous movie songs, comedy performance, musical shows and dramas. The donations were also made during the concert to provide assistance in the recovery efforts in the quake-hit area.
