Vaccination for civil servants: Kachin State CM observed and presented cash rewards

The Kachin State Public Health Department organized an event to administer the PFIZER COMIRNATY OMICRON XBB.1.5 vaccine to the civil servants of Kachin State General Administration Department and district/township General Administration Departments at the Samaduwa Sinwanaw  Hall within the premises of the State Government office on February 24.

The event was attended and supported by the State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, state government ministers, and officials, who observed the vaccination process. They also awarded 500,000 kyats in appreciation to Dr. Tint Naing, Head of the State Public Health and Medical Department, and the healthcare staff involved in the vaccination efforts.

Following this, the State Chief Minister and officials visited the 500-bed Myitkyina People’s Hospital, where retired senior civil servants received their pensions from the Myanma Economic Bank (Myitkyina Branch) and free health check-ups and treatments were provided by the State Medical Department. The Chief Minister and officials inspected these simultaneous activities and presented cash rewards to the bank and healthcare staff.

Later, at the Malikha Hall in the State Government Office, the State Chief Minister held a coordination meeting with state ministers, the State Advocate General, and relevant departmental officials to discuss preparations for hosting the Kachin State MSME Product Trade Fair in Myitkyina.

Additionally, on the evening of February 23, the State Chief Minister and officials visited the multi-crop and livestock farm of farmer U Mar Yaw  in the Shwe ike/Shwe Pyi Thar  ward, which has been successfully developed with support from the National Economic Promotion Fund. 

They inspected the farm’s operations, including the rearing of local cattle and fattening pigs, as well as vegetable cultivation for commercial purposes. The Chief Minister handed over free veterinary medicines and supplies provided by the State Veterinary and Medical Department.

During a meeting with farmers at the farm, U Mar Yaw expressed gratitude to the state government for their support and donated 100 baskets of rice for use in needy areas and raised the need for a production road. The Chief Minister acknowledged the donation with pride and coordinated with relevant officials to expedite the construction of the requested road. 

The State Fisheries Department also provided farmer U Ma Yaw with 15 bags of fish feed for his aquaculture business.

From there, the Chief Minister and officials visited the newly constructed JZ CENTRE in Myitkyina's Myothit Ward. Inside the CENTRE, they viewed the introduction and screening of the film "Snowfall Destination" by Maykha Film Production. This film, which was screened nationwide, highlights the glacial landscapes, natural beauty, and local customs of Kachin State. 

The visit included a tour of the JZ LUXURY CINEMA, an upgraded cinema within the CENTRE, as well as the various retail shops and dining establishments. It was reported that they showed their support by watching the film.
