Vaccination Campaign: Hepatitis-B vaccine administered to monks and nuns

Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Aye Tun together with Director General of Religious Affairs department and officials encouraged members of the Sangha who received the Hepatitis-B check-up and vaccinations from YarZaDharNi Tharmanaykyaw and Vijayarnandathubawdaryoun monasteries in Oaktarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on Thursday.
The program was conducted by the team led by the medical superintendent of 50-bedded hospital in Oaktarathiri Township. During his visit, the Deputy Minister clarified and submitted regarding the administering of Hepatitis-B vaccine.
Likewise, Mobile Teams are carrying out these activities for monks and nuns from the monasteries and nunneries in Nay Pyi Taw Pyinmana and Lewe. Hepatitis-B vaccination campaign for monks and nuns in 8 townships of Nay Pyi Taw has been carried out free of charge on 25th and 26th October. The second dose of the vaccination will administered on 25th and 26th November and the third dose on the 25th and 26th February 2024.
