Use of AI in literature sparks debate at Guadalajara International Book Fair

Authors and publishers voiced their hopes and concerns about the use of AI in literature at the Guadalajara International Book Fair in Mexico.

For Spanish author Jorge Gonzalvo, AI cannot replicate human creativity and must be regulated, particularly in terms of the use of the voice of other authors.

From a publishing perspective, Argentine Daniel Benchimol said that AI could help to identify potential bestsellers, and support in the mammoth task of reading over manuscripts.
