US VP Harris visits farms in Zambia

US Vice President Kamala Harris said the United States government will support farmers across Africa to help the agricultural industry become more "resilient" against climate change. She made the remark during a news briefing following a tour of Panuka Farm in Chibombo District of Zambia on Saturday.

Harris promised US investment in technologies including those to improve weather forecasting and climate modelling. Saturday is the final day of Harris' weeklong visit to Africa. The trip included three nights in Ghana, two nights in Tanzania and one in Zambia. She returns to Washington on Sunday April 2.
