US Vice President Vance says traveling to Greenland on Friday

US Vice President JD Vance said he will join his wife Usha on a trip Friday to Greenland, saying he wants to check "security" in the autonomous Danish territory that Donald Trump has talked about taking over.

JD Vance, US Vice President said  "Hey guys, it's JD Vance, the vice president, and you know there was so much excitement around Usha's visit to Greenland this Friday that I decided that I didn't want her to have all that fun by herself, and so I'm going to join her. I'm going to visit some of our guardians in the Space Force on the northwest coast of Greenland, and also just check out what's going on with the security there of Greenland.

Vance will travel with his wife Usha to Pituffik Space Base "to receive a briefing on Arctic security issues and meet with US servicemembers," his office also said Tuesday in a statement.
