US Secretary of State Blinken meets Japan Foreign Minister in Tokyo

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa in Tokyo, ahead of "2+2" talks with Japanese Defence Minister Minoru Kihara and US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

The two ministers discussed responses to issues common to both countries including economic security and exchanged views on regional issues surrounding Japan, following the recent ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meeting which two ministers attended. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of cooperation of the two countries.
