US President heads to NATO talks in Lithuania

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda welcomed US President Joe Biden at the Presidential Palace on the first day of the NATO summit in Lithuania. President Joe Biden is meeting with other NATO leaders in Lithuania on Tuesday for a key summit.

The summit kicks off on a somewhat positive note, after Turkiye agreed to support Sweden's bid to join NATO after a year of opposition. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed the reversal as a “historic step.” Biden signed the guest book during a bilateral meeting with Lithuanian President on the sidelines of the NATO Summit at the Presidential Palace.
