US military in Japan to deliver relief supplies to quake-hit areas

The US military in Japan will begin to deliver relief supplies to quake-hit areas in Japan’s Noto Peninsula as early as on Wednesday at the request of the Japanese Defense Ministry.

After the powerful earthquake hit Noto Peninsula, the Self-Defense Forces have been focusing on air and sea transportation in delivering relief supplies to the affected people, as local road networks are still cut off due to serious damage caused by the disaster.
