US imposes a ban on sale of two Apple Watch models due to patent dispute

A ban on US sales and imports of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 is reimposed. The ban stems from a patent dispute with medical device maker Masimo.

The dispute regards a medical scanner technology that measures the oxygen concentration in the bloodstream. The legal fight is expected to be protracted and Apple might disable the disputed feature in order to continue selling the watch.
