German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier held a meeting at the White House with US President Joe Biden to commemorate German-American Day on Friday. German-American Day commemorates the arrival of a large group of Germans to Philadelphia in the late 1600s. The meeting is the first time the two presidents held an official meeting since they each took office.
