US, Ecuador launch joint anti-drug strikes

Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa announced on Friday Ecuador, with US support, bombed a training camp belonging to a dissident FARC guerrilla group operating on the border with Colombia.

Ecuador and US joined forces this week to launch an offensive against drug trafficking. The operation was carried out in the Amazonian province of Sucumbíos shortly before Trump's meeting with the leaders of South American leaders in Miami.
