Canada’s first lady Sophie Gregorie Trudeau hosted Jill Biden at a curling facility Friday where the two spoke to youths about the importance of sports and mental health. The two toured Rideau Curling Club in Ottawa, a 135-year-old institution and watched as groups of mostly young women played on the ice. They then went inside and held a small roundtable discussion with students about the mental and physical benefits of playing a sport.

The Bidens spent Friday in Canada where U.S. President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced an immigration deal that aims to shut down a process that has enabled tens of thousands of immigrants from across the world to move between the countries and pursue asylum cases without going through an official border crossing. The two leaders released the details earlier Friday.
