The U.S. Army has airdropped food and water into Gaza on Saturday.U.S. Central Command said in a statement that the airdrop was done jointly with the Royal Jordanian Air Force. Three planes from Air Forces Central dropped 66 bundles containing about 38,000 meals into Gaza at 8:30 a.m. EST.
The United Nations says a quarter of Gaza's 2.3 million people face starvation. Aid agencies are reportedly saying that recent airdrops are not enough to meet the massive needs of people in Gaza and that only deliveries by land can meet the demand.
