US and S.Korean armies conduct joint wet gap crossing exercise

South Korean and US armies constructed and crossed a bridge during a wet gap crossing exercise as part of Exercise Freedom Shield 25 training in Yeoncheon, South Korea.  

Approximately 200 Korean soldiers, 270 U.S. Soldiers, 65 pieces of ROK-US engineering equipment were deployed to provide engineering support necessary for joint operations. ROK and U.S. Army units utilized aviation, armor, air defense, chemical, biological and defense capabilities to train the security and protection of the site during the exercise that was designed to verify interoperability through the construction of a joint pontoon bridge. 

The wet gap crossing exercise was conducted during Freedom Shield 25, showcasing combined interoperability and proficiency.
