US and Philippines defense chiefs hold talks

​U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin met with his counterpart from the Philippines, acting Defense Secretary Jose C. Faustino Jr., in Hawaii Thursday. Both defense chiefs emphasized the importance of U.S. Philippines cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. Faustino commended the current state of cooperation in the U.S.-Philippine relationship.
