Upholding Unity and Democracy: A Message on the 77th Anniversary of Union Day

Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General ThadoeMahaTharaySithuThadoeThiriThudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, conveyed a message on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Union Day.

The Prime Minister extended wishes for the health and prosperity of all national brethren residing in the Union. He emphasized that safeguarding independence and sovereignty can only be achieved through the spirit of unity, calling for the participation of all national brethren in perpetuating the Union.

The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment of the Tatmadaw to safeguard independence based on patriotism, emphasizing collaboration with national brethren for the development of the country and the establishment of a genuine disciplined multiparty democratic union.

However, he noted challenges posed by some ethnic armed organizations and internal and external detractors instigating terrorist acts and conflicts, resulting in loss of lives and properties. He underscored the critical importance of safeguarding the union with great caution.

Highlighting the axiom "Strength of the nation lies within," the Prime Minister emphasized the indispensable support of the entire populace, standing in solidarity with the Tatmadaw, as fundamental to defending the nation. He urged all to make cooperative efforts among the government, Tatmadaw, and the people to ensure stability and the rule of law.

Moreover, the Prime Minister cautioned that the consequences of incidents in the country will only be endured by the affected regions and their residents. Thus, he called upon all to strive for the emergence of a modern developed nation based on democracy and a federal system, seeking solutions through political means.
