Upgrading Lake: PM looks into upgrading of KandawMingala Shan Kan Lake

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected upgrading of KandawMingala Shan Kanlake in Pyinmana of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Monday evening.

At the site, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Tin Oo Lwin reported on brief history of the lake, dredging silts at the eastern part of the lake that is needed to be upgraded, implementation of the tasks by consulting with experts and arrangements for upgrading of Mingalar Shan KanYele Pagoda and the pagoda shrine.

In response to the report, the Prime Minister said that KandawMingalar Shan Kan is the prominent lake of Pyinmana and it needs to upgrade systematically phase by phase. It is implementing to make Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of the country to be beautiful and to raise the living standard as well as it needs to make Pyinmana more beautiful and advanced city than before.

In doing so, participation of residents are needed. Upon completion of upgrading the lake, it is necessary to provide water in advance and it is also making research the places where water will be available within the Nay Pyi Taw council area.

The Prime Minister stressed the needs to make plan to get irrigated water enough but also for fully water in the lake. He also called for making efforts on beautifying of the entire nation through cleaning of the environs, the regions and towns and development.

Later, the Prime Minister and party looked into upgrading of Kandaw Mingalar Shan Kan Lake. He called for systematic upgrading, measures for physical exercise of the people and taking relaxation with peace of mind, upgrading of Shin Upagutta shrine, extension of walkway, repairing of water channels around the lake, beautifying tasks, creating a peaceful environment by growing Seinban, Gumkino and star flower trees and flowery plants along the lake ring road and coordinated the needs.
