The Chief of UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees inspected humanitarian relief efforts at the Rafah border crossing in Gaza.

The UN-run evacuation facilities are currently overcrowded, with more than 1.4 million people. The Chief noted that evacuees are struggling on a day-to-day basis to secure food and clean water.

He said a variety of daily necessities, such as clothing, should be allowed into Gaza as the winter arrives. The intense fighting continues, in the central region of Gaza where the cessation of fighting is crucial to save people’s lives.
