United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit 2024

Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Lacroix said, “UN Police is a very important component and not only of UN peacekeeping but very important component of the UN’s effort to promote peace and stability.”

Lacroix and the United Nations Police Adviser, Commissioner Faisal Shahkar, briefed the press on 26th June about the fourth UN Chiefs of Police Summit that takes place in New York on 26 and 27 June.

The Summit brings together more than 500 Member State representatives, including Ministers and Deputy Ministers, Chiefs of Police and Chiefs of Gendarmerie all to reaffirm the importance of multilateralism in addressing complex global challenges.
