Unique Canoe Dragon Boat Festival of China's Miao ethnic group

Chinese Miao ethnic group held grand canoe dragon boat races in Guizhou Province. Every summer, the festival is celebrated from 24th to 27th of the fifth month of traditional Chinese calendar. This year, it falls from June 29th to July 2nd.

The festival also includes various rituals that reflect local cultural and religious traditions. The Canoe Dragon Boat Festival of the Miao ethnic group was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2008.
