Union Parliament: Proposal On Protection Of Plant Varieties Bill Sought For Approval

2nd Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Union Parliament convened its 24th day meeting in Nay Pyi Taw, Tuesday.

The Bill to amend the Constitution for the second time presented by 144 Pyidaungsu Hluttaw representatives including Tatmadaw Pyithu Hluttaw Representative was informed to the parliament. Finding and report (15/2019) of the Joint Public Accounts Committee on implementation of construction tasks including in the Budget of 2018-2019 FY of the Basic Education Department of the Ministry of Education were read out.

Members of relevant Union Level Institution reported borrowing 100 million USD from International Development Association of the World Bank (IDA) for undertaking all inclusive quality education program by the Ministry of Education to the parliament.

The proposal on Protection of Plant Varieties Bill was submitted and sought for approval.

MPs continued to discuss borrowing 185 million USD from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to implement community development project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation.
