Union Minister's Visit to Kunming: YNTV Tour, Media Meeting, and Medical University Visit

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and delegation members visited Yunnan Television (YNTV) in Kunming on Saturday, where they had the opportunity to explore the YNTV museum and production studios.

During their visit, they engaged in discussions regarding potential cooperation between Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) and YNTV across various sectors. MRTV and YNTV have reached agreements to screen TV series with Myanmar subtitles, produce the "Beautiful Myanmar Promo," and collaborate on the Lancang-Mekong Look App.

In the evening of August 18th, the Union Minister hosted China Global Television Network (CGTN) and addressed inquiries from the media. On the morning of the 19th, he also received Paukphaw Magazine.

During these media interactions, the Union Minister expressed his appreciation for the ongoing implementation of the Lancang-Mekong Look App, which is currently in a trial stage with broadcasts available in Chinese, Cambodian, and Thai languages.

There are plans to expand its reach to all member countries by 2025. Additionally, the Union Minister's visit included a trip to Kunming Medical University, where university officials provided them with a guided tour of the institution.
