Union Government Meeting: Union Government Meeting (1/2024) held in Nay Pyi Taw

The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech at the Union Government Meeting (1/2024) held at the meeting hall of the office of the Chairman of State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 29th January.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, Union Ministers and officials in person and the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States Chief Ministers through Video Conferencing System.

First, speaking at the meeting, the State Administration council Prime Minister elaborated that a government is an authoritative organization which has to implement the administrative sector, economic, rule of law and social sector practically. In a democratic country, there are the political party leading the government and parliaments carrying out balancing and the policies are set and implemented.

After declaring the State of Emergency of the country, by forming the State Administration Council, the future roadmap and objectives are set and implemented. Those are the grand strategies, strategies and tactics. According to the country’s constitution, the state is a form of federal system suitable for the situation of the country, in which the provisions that the judicial, executive and legislative powers are shard to the Regions and States.

During the two tenures of the democratic governments, it’s found out that the Regions and States could not be fully implemented their rights vested on them. Therefore, it appears that the national races are not contented about that.

Next, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister shed light on the efforts of the government amidst the political unrest, violences, armed conflicts, breaking of COVID-19 pandemic and the negative reactions of some international communities and stressed to expense the financial resources in line with the rules and regulations in the implementations for the development of the country and highlighted the efforts to promote the country’s economy.

And he encouraged to increase the production of goods for the declining in commodity prices, to make exerted efforts for the agricultural production to meet the goals, to carry out the accelerating in production of commodities and extracting the natural resources systematically, and the implementation of rule of law, it’s needed to comply with the procedures, rules and regulations systematically, on the other hand, the government is providing the assistances and allowances for the public service personnel.

And the SAC Chairman Prime Minister called for the cooperation for the basic education examinations to be held soon.Then, the Union Minister clarified the related sectors.

In his response to the clarifications, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister urged to manufacture the cement for the domestic sufficiency, the responsible officials need to organize the business entrepreneurs to invest in the iron and steel industries of the country.

Regarding with the electricity, it’s needed to generate the small-scale electricity generations in the Regions and States as well as the sustainable Energy resources such as hydro-Power, wind Power and solar Power electricity generation should be implemented as per the region.
