Union Government Meeting: SAC Chairman Prime Minister delivered a speech

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech at the Union Government Meeting (3/2024) held at the meeting hall of the SAC Chairman’s Office in the morning on 25th March.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe win, Union Ministers and officials in person and the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States Chief Ministers via Video Conferencing.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister said that the National Planning Commission meeting (1/2024) and Financial Commission meeting (1/2024) were held last week to review the work implementations in the previous fiscal year and to discuss the requirements to implement in the coming fiscal year.

During the previous fiscal year, the requirements were pushed for the development of the agricultural, livestock breeding and commodity production. It’s needed to boost the agricultural products as per the region, fulfill the domestic requirements and export the surpluses.

It’s being encouraged to implement the commodity production based on the agriculture and livestock which have well foundation in the country. Only then, the commodity production based on the agriculture and livestock breeding improves, the GDP of the country will rise.  

The responsible persons need to provide assistance for the requirements regarding with the production as per the region. In relation to the livestock breeding, it’s showing decrease to the extent of the whole country. So, it’s needed to implement to restore.

The Ministries and the regions and states Chief Ministers need to serve assigned duties dutifully. By taking lessons from the weaknesses experienced in the previous fiscal year, it’s needed to implement for more developments in coming fiscal year.

As the hot and dry summer season has set in now as well as the El Niño phenomenon, the scorching heat and shortage of water may occur. The relevant Ministries and regions and states governments need to carry out the preparation measures.

As the matriculation examination has been completed and it’s been the holidays period, necessary arrangements are needed to plan for the youth to spend the holidays productively as per the region and State. It’s required to arrange the youth trainings which can promote the national characters and knowledge. It must be implemented for the students to study happily in the coming academic year.

Next, the Union Ministers clarified the related sector, the Union minister Dr. Charlie Than, U Hla Moe and U Min Naung reported the implementations for the cotton plantation and production and the Union Minister U Myit Naung clarified the implementation for sending migrant workers, deposing revenue by the oversea employment agencies and status of collecting tax from the oversea Myanmar workers.

After giving necessary instructions regarding with the clarifications, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister delivered a speech of conclusion stressing for the systematic and correct spelling of Myanmar Language, constant alert on the Cyber Security and holding Thingyan festival in line with the traditions and customs.
