A temporary school set up in tents by UNICEF in collaboration with Sindh government is providing education to around 200 children of flood-affected families in Khairpur city. Teachers in this school, which has attracted children from families living in around 150 tents, are providing lessons in basic mathematics, language, and drawing.

An official said the primary aim of setting up the school was to bring the children out of the shock of what they have gone through.  In Gambat city nearby, a village of around 400 tents has been set up by a few British volunteers who are providing the flood victims food, security, toilets, and other necessities of life.
