UN Security Council 'welcomes' extension of Colombia ceasefire with armed groups

United Nations Security Council representatives welcomed the ceasefire agreements between Colombia and guerrilla dissidents but urged the government to take all the necessary steps to protect signatories of the 2016 peace pact who are targets of violence. The diplomats met Colombian President at the Narino Presidential Palace in Bogota.
