UN Secretary General Guterres visits holy Sikh shrine of Golden temple in India

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres visited the holy Sikh shrine of Golden Temple in northern India's Amritsar city on Wednesday. He is on a three-day visit to the country. Guterres said he was very happy to visit the Golden Temple as it is one of those temples where people from all religions in the world can come and pray. He ate at the community kitchen along with other members from the Sikh community after a visit to the temple.

Earlier in the day, Guterres presented the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the 'Champions of the Earth' award during an event in the Indian capital New Delhi.
