UN Programme Budget of $3.45 billion for 2026

The General Assembly’s Fifth Committee on 30th December adopted a draft resolution approving the United Nations programme budget of $3.45 billion for 2026. The Assembly, without debate, adopted the Report of the Fifth Committee, which deals with internal United Nations administrative and budgetary matters.

At the closing of the substantive session of the Fifth Committee, France’s Ambassador Jérôme Bonnafont highlighted “the constructive spirit that prevailed over these discussions over these weeks is to confirmation of multilateralism and reaffirms their unanimous attachment to UN that they would like to see be modern and geared towards results.”
