UN condemned the drone attack in Tel Aviv

UN spokesperson Farhan Haq said that the Secretary-General condemned the “deadly drone attack” in Tel Aviv, for which the Houthis in Yemen claimed responsibility. Briefing reporters on Friday in New York, the Spokesperson said, “this attack resulted in a death and several injuries,” adding that the Secretary-General sent his heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.

He added, “the Secretary-General remains deeply concerned about the risk such dangerous acts pose for further escalation in the region. He urges all to exercise maximum restraint and to de-escalate to avoid further enflaming the situation in the region.” He concluded, “The United Nations remains committed to supporting efforts for peace and stability in the region.”
