The first coins bearing the portrait of King Charles III have been produced in the U.K.'s Royal Mint. The 50 pence coin will go into circulation before the end of the year. Following in the traditions of his grandfather King George VI, Charles is not depicted as wearing a crown, unlike the coin depicting his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
