UK PM Sunak visits Hindu place of worship in last week of campaigning

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held a campaign event at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple in Neasden, London, ahead of the general election on July 4th.

Greeted with loud cheers, Sunak and his wife performed puja guided by the priests and toured the grand temple complex. Rishi Sunak, UK Prime Minister said "It is truly a great privilege to be with you all this evening, and this Mandir stands as a great statement of the contribution that this community makes to Britain. "

In his address to the congregation, Sunak referenced India's victory in the T20 World Cup and spoke about the inspiration he draws from his Hindu faith.
