UK and Germany put bilateral relations on a new footing with a treaty

UK Prime Minister and Chancellor of Germany put bilateral relations on a new footing with a treaty.

The treaty on bilateral cooperation between the two countries, which is currently being worked on, is to be signed early next year, the two countries announced in a joint statement on Wednesday.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said “they want to put bilateral relationship on a completely new footing,” during the inaugural visit of the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Berlin.
