UAE views Vietnam as an important partner in Asia-Pacific

United Arab Emirates (UAE) senior leaders considered Vietnam an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region and UAE investors and businesses value the business opportunities and environment in Vietnam, according to UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

At a reception hosted by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on Wednesday, the UAE Foreign Minister proposed that the two countries strengthen cooperation in such important fields as renewable energy, sustainable development, environmental protection, and people-to-people exchanges. The Vietnamese Prime Minister called on the two sides to complete negotiations for the Vietnam-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as soon as possible.
