U -25 Men Football Tournament: States and Regions competition kicks off in Nay Pyi Taw

The 2023-2024 States and Regions U-25 Men Football Tournament commenced at Wunna Theikdhi Football Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

The opening ceremony was attended by Members of the State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Mahn Nyein Maung, Dr Hmu Thang, Dr Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein, and U Yan Kyaw, as well as Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, departmental personnel, officials from the Myanmar Football Federation, invited guests, team managers, instructors, and athletes.

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympics Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, delivered a speech, urging all to uphold fair play and the spirit of sportsmanship, and strive to become reliable football players for their respective states.

The opening match was played between the Kachin State team and the Tanintharyi Region team. Thirteen teams are participating in the 2023-2024 States and Regions U-25 Men Football Tournament, scheduled to be held from the 15th to the 29th of March. Enthusiasts are welcomed to enjoy the matches free of charge.
