U-25 Men’s football tournament: Aims for uplifting Myanmar’s sports standard

With the aim for uplifting Myanmar’s sports standard and turning out outstanding footballers, the quarter final (2nd day) events of the SAC Chairman’s Cup Inter-ministry U-25 Men’s football tournament took place at the Wunna Theikdhi stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday evening.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs in commemoration of 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023. At the quarter final (2nd day) events, the Ministry of Planning and Finance team beat the Ministry of Construction team 1-0.

The Ministry of Border Affairs team defeated the Ministry of Commerce team 2-1. Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Deputy Ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers, departmental officials, officials from Myanmar Football Federation and football fans enjoyed the matches.

The seminal matches will be held at the Wunna Theikdhi stadium on 28th December and the Ministry of Home Affairs will play against the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Planning and Finance team will compete with the Ministry of Border Affairs team.
