U-18 Students Sports Festival : Shan State CM attends opening ceremony

An opening ceremony on 2023 Academic Year U-18 Students Sports Festival took place at the State Sports Stadium in Taunggyi Township of Shan State (South) on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye said that 7 kinds of sport tournament such as football, volleyball, track and field, sepak takraw, basketball, tennis and table tennis are included during the festival and altogether 633 athletes including administers and coaches from 5 districts participated in the festival.

He also said that outstanding athletes from 5 districts will be selected as Shan State selection athletes to take part in the central level competition in Nay Pyi Taw. After selecting the final outstanding athletes, they will be trained for ASEAN School Games 2024. After performing Aerobic dance and fitness dance by the students, the Chief Minister and attendees enjoyed U-18 men football match of Taunggyi and Linkhay Districts.
