Two pilots killed in crash during a training mission in Chiang Mai

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has launched an investigation into the crash of an AT-6TH Wolverine aircraft during a training mission in Chiang Mai on Thursday morning, which resulted in the deaths of both pilots on board. The aircraft, belonging to Squadron 411, Wing 41, went down at 10:20 a.m. local time in the Chom Thong district, approximately 60 kilometers southwest of Chiang Mai International Airport.

The incident occurred during a Combat Search and Rescue training exercise. RTAF spokesperson confirmed that the crash site was within a designated military training area and resulted in no civilian casualties or property damage.
