Two-Day Meeting: NSPNC meets with the Political Parties Working Group

The meeting between National Solidarity and Peace-Making Negotiation Committee and Political Parties Working Group continued its 2nd day in Nay Pyi Taw on January 24th.

Committee Chairman Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung attended the meeting along with the committee members, Leader of political parties working groups and representatives.

During the meeting, the discussions continued on the proposals of both sides and amending of Political Parties Working Group.

Subsequently, political parties working group representatives made discussions on the matters for upcoming 2025 multiparty democracy general election, restoring peace and stability within the nation, meeting the needs of people in line with legal procedure and current political process.

The meeting also discussed the suggestions for the returning of PDF members into the legal fold and recruitment process of People’s Military Service. Then, the agreements during the two-day meeting were signed and the proposals which need further discussions and agreed opinions were recorded.
