The International ConferenceonApplied Research in Education (2025) commenced in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
After the ceremonial ribbon cutting event, the Prime Minister unveiled the Arch of the conference, followed by the entertainment program and lighting the lamp post of knowledge. In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the education sector as the foundation for the nation’s development, adding that the conference could support the implementation of a comprehensive education system that is accessible to all.
He reiterated that the interrelation between education, science, and technology could serve as a driving force for societal development through research and innovation. He urged all to work in the best interest of the nation and its people by ensuring a brighter and more prosperous future for the next generation through the power of education, science, and technology.
With the theme, “Navigating the Future: Education, Science and Technology for Brighter and More Prosperous Societies”, the conference aims to share the experience and knowledge, to develop higher education sector, to nurture the quality human resources for development of the nation, to discuss the academic matters and to conduct research works for ocean and earth, to promote the MSME industry, to develop the vocational education, to create employment opportunities and to lay down the action plans for development of the economy and socio-economic status.
More than 60 experts from 16 countries and 45 institutions are participating in the 2-day conference which is scheduled from 9th to 10th January. In addition, scholars from 11 related ministries and educational institutions also join the conference, and 133 research papers will be submitted by local and international resource persons.
