Two couples crowned Tango World Cup champions

Two Argentine couples were crowned Tango World Cup winners in Buenos Aires on Saturday. Five-hundred-sixty competing couples took part in the championship. During Saturday's finals, an international jury chose the winners out of 40 couples who competed in the salon category and 20 couples in the stage tango.

The winners will be sponsored by the Secretary of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires to participate in national and international tango events. The Tango, a musical form that includes dance, music, poetry, and singing, was declared in 2009 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
