To turn out skilled weavers: Gold and silver embroidery course opened in Mandalay

Gold and silver Embroidery training course was opened at the Saunder Weaving & Vocational Institute in Mandalay Township to turn out the skilled weavers.

To give more vocational training courses meet with the local needs, Gold and silver Embroidery training courses are opened and lectures were provided at the Saunder Weaving & Vocational Institute.

Principal,Saunder Weaving & Vocational Institute,Tint Tint said "We have duty to preserve the Myanmar Traditional weaving art not to fade. By providing such kinds of embroidery course, we can turn out a new generation of skilled weavers. The school offers regular training and short term training. 6-month training course for hand weaving and Yanlwankyy  and 3-month training course for gold and silver Embroideries training courses were provided. The person who passed the primary level can join those three training courses. We provide the hostels free of charge to the students. In regular training course, we provide 3, 0000 Kyats to each student per month."

Trainee,Shwe Ye Phoo said "In our town, there is no such kinds of training course. I tend to be designer after completing the course. I am really passionate in this art work, so I join the course."

There are 50 trainees at the Saunder Weaving & Vocational Institute.Basic Gold and silver Embroideries and drawing were taught at the three months training course. Three months training course will provide the students both theoretically and practically. This training course opens three times a year.
