Turkmenistan expands greenhouse tomato exports

Turkmenistan is steadily increasing exports of greenhouse-grown tomatoes. The produce is already being actively supplied to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan. Large shipments of Turkmen tomatoes have now also begun reaching the United Arab Emirates.

In January, farmers plan to harvest more than 8,000 tons of tomatoes, with 4,500 tons already collected. The greenhouses hold the Global Good Agricultural Practice certification for agricultural product safety and quality. For consumers, this certification guarantees that vegetables are grown without harm to health or the environment.
